The Montgomery County Educational Service Center (ESC) supports a system for strong collaborative linkages of its major stakeholders: districts, educational providers, students, parents, and the public at large. Through these combined efforts, the ESC works actively to support the schools’ continuous improvement processes by offering a broad range of quality services and programs. These cooperative efforts are designed to strengthen the capacity of the districts to achieve quality and cost-effective programs.
Career Programs:
Career Connections Champion – Meet quarterly with 16 districts and 3 Catholic Schools to familiarize reps with resources available to school districts.
Power Up Career Bridge Program – An initiative with Learn to Earn working with kids not on a post-secondary plan. Works with high school students to build employment skill sets and link with careers/ employers.
Graduation Alliance – Credit Recovery Program for students who have dropped-out or on the path to drop out. Within 5 credits of graduating, they are assigned a career coordinator.
School for Students w/ Disabilities – Transition Plans are part of a program for students who attend this school.
Career Fairs and Job Posting – Host career fairs for teaching candidates with job posting services for schools in the regional consortium.
